Last May Richard Finney of Aloha Construction discussed the replacement of my 20 year old roof. There was a hail storm a few months previous and there were houses in the neighborhood that had hail damage. Richard inspected my roof from the ground and after pointing out several bad spots, I agreed to have Richard do a more through inspection. I engaged State Farm at that time to have an inspection. Richard and his team leader Vince organized a mutual meet up with Aloha and State Farm. State Farm sent out a 3rd party inspector. The inspector and the Aloha team went up on the roof to inspect for hail damage. While the Aloha team pointed out multiple areas of damage, the 3rd party inspector was in a rush and reported back to State Farm there was only slight damage found. Richard and Vince went to work for me battling state farm to send out another inspector. They were relentless. They knew how to navigate the process and were well aware of State Farm and how they operate. After much back and forth and pushing State Farm, State Farm refused to cover the replacement of my roof. Two doors down, Aloha worked with one of my neighbors that had a different insurance provider and they were able to get a full roof replacement. The roof turned out great. I have heard from multiple roofing contractors that State Farm is notorious for denying claims. As I was not ready to move forward paying for the roof myself at that time, I decided to hold off on the job. I recently engaged Richard and Vince again as my roof has started to leak. It is time to have the roof replaced. Richard and Vince were quick to get me a very competitive quote (in fact it was the lowest). Due to some factors not related to Richard, Vince or Aloha, I did decide to go with other vendor. I do however appreciate the tenacity that Richard had going to battle for me. Richard is great to work with if you get the chance.

I have delt with Aloha Construction and their sales rep, Vince for years. Vince shows integrity and is consistent in keeping his word. When needed, he steps up. Recently I needed additional assistance and Vince referred me to one of the project managers from Aloha, Ron. He stepped up as well. I am very appreciative and if needed, will look to Aloha construction for our future needs. Thanks again guys for being there when you were needed. Carol

We use Aloha (Lake Zurich, IL) to replace the entire roof, and fix the leaking sidewood of the chimney. The following are what we have. 1. We signed 2 separate contracts for the job – the primary contract is for the entire roof replacement which is under insurance coverage. The 2nd contract is fixing the leaking /damaged side panel around the chimney out of my own pocket. The claim specialist Jessica did a good job for all the communications for both contracts, processing the claims from the insurance company, roof material selection and all the Misc stuff. Thanks. 2. The primary contract was subcontracted to another local roof company. We had a good experience with it. The 8 person roof team leader – Laurent (from Aloha) did good work leading the team. The old shingles were removed professionally without damaging my yard. The work was completed on-time. The overall results look good. Laurent told me there are 8 pieces of roof plywood that need replacement and they did it promptly. The team also replaced the chimney flashing, and removed a few pieces of siding to check the status of the leaking side panel around the chimney. 3. Aloha did not have a detailed list on the Primary contract with me for each item/charges. They just work on the items with charges based on the estimation report from the insurance company after the inspection. In my case, there was an item the insurance company paid for, but it turns out this item is not necessary. Aloha did not find out this until I compared the estimation list and what had been done. I ended up getting back hundreds of dollars from Aloha. 4. I was told there are 4 teams working on the same days for different houses for the roof replacement. Yes, Aloha has a lot of projects and they do use other roof companies as subcontractors. The quality may also depend on what company they are using. 5. My 2nd contract with Aloha was a small job for replacing / repairing Chimney side panels. They did a decent job. However, the scheduling for the job had been an issue. They changed the schedule a couple of times in the last minutes. This bothers me since they delivered the construction material and left them in my garage days earlier, and I need to go home from my office to open the garage door, with the last minute notification. Summary: The overall job quality is decent, but the project management may need improvement. The homeowner may need to check the detail lists for the jobs, and be flexible for the construction date if it is a small project.

Aloha did a great job, everything went as expected. They promptly resolved all issues with my insurance, finished work in one day, their stuff was very helpful and professional. Claim specialist guy, Andres, was very pleasant person to talk to, he clearly explained all the process, was always ready to answer any questions and easy reachable by phone any time. Sales manager, Vince, was a big help after work completion with all final payments and invoices. Aloha is very professional and reliable company to work with.

We used Aloha to replace roof, siding , window wraps and fascia after hail damage in the fall of 2024. From beginning to end they helped with the Insurance piece and the salesman Richard Finney was very professional, transparent and always available to answer any of my questions all along the process. Richard was amazing. Very positive experience and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

We had an insurance claim to get part of our roof replaced and siding replaced due to storm damage. Aloha was insanely helpful throughout the process and really did go above and beyond for us. Our new siding looks amazing! Their communication was great and the support they lent to us was incredible. The entire process was seamless and quick!
